TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR GROUP EXCURSIONS TO PETRA / PETRA & WADI RUM

Group excursions to Petra or to Petra & Wadi Rum from Cruises ship from Aqaba Port terminal or from Aqaba city – Hotels

Group travel is very different than individual travel. Successfully moving people as a unit, involves precise planning and a lot of organization from our side, this to ensure a seamless experience. We are the first Travel agency in Jordan that is successfully offering group excursions, where participants don’t know each other, at alluring prices and a unique travel experiences.

To ensure that unique travel experiences and to deliver excellent service, please consider the below terms and conditions:

Before booking

In the first place, Is the excursion suitable for you ?

A lot of walking

Petra excursion involves a lot of walking in a rough path. If you can walk without any problems, it will be moderate for you too.
The guide will walk that fast as group moves, to cover as much sights as it could be. We are considering that there will be Youth and Seniors. Please consider that too.

Physical Ability

You must inform us of all facts regarding your health, all facts or circumstances that could jeopardize the journey’s progress, lead to endanger in any way a detriment to group safety / it’s movement during the excursion. Walking in Petra requires some level of fitness, and state of health.

Golf Carts

Golf Carts in Petra are owned by the PRA (Petra Region Authority) payable only on spot. They can’t be pre-ordered neither pre-booked!
Shared one way is about US$23 P.P.
Sometimes you need to stand in a queue (for more than 1 hour) to hire a seat.

What is the rate and inclusions ?

Rates of excursions

The rate is in US Dollars indicated in each excursion right in the header, then will be indicated during booking and will be indicated in voucher that you suppose to receive from us as a confirmation letter from our side.

Including in the rate

In any group excursion we offer, the following will be included:
Meet & Transfers in a/c, vehicle.
Entrance fees to mentioned destinations.
English speaking guide in mentioned destination.
Lunch (Soft drinks are not included) .
Transfer back to meeting point.

The minimum required to go

Departure will be guaranteed anyway – even for only one couple! In that case, If there will be the only 2-3 travelers, rate will remain but guide will be excluded. As we understand how important this excursion is. 4 participants and more, are enjoying all the privileges.

During booking

Payment & Cancellation

Cancellation under any circumstances is free, But Please inform us at your earliest convenience.

Payment is settled in Jordan (due at the tour day, prior departure to Petra) by Cash (USD or Euros) or credit card (there will be 3% surcharge on credit card payment).

Information for Booking

You will be requested to provide: full name, date of birth, passport number + expire date, nationality and mobile number, in order to prepare legal manifest of travelers and to obtain permits to enter port/airport. Manifest should hold all excursion information starting from travelers info ending with vehicle number. Read More in FAQ.

Confirmation letter

After submitting your request with required info, you should receive official confirmation letter issued by Wonders Travel and Tourism. We always reply to everybody within 24 hours. If you don’t receive by email, please, try reaching us via WhatsApp . E-mail across the internet is not a guaranteed service.

What about the Visa

From Cruises
When your cruise arrives, You will pass passport control- Border authority will make all necessary procedures to grant you entrance to Jordan ” Thus : Visa to Jordan is free and obtainable upon arrival for every tourist by the Law of Aqaba Special economic Zone Authority “.

Excursion Day

Before Excursion

Cruise & Port

In order to be the first and to avoid any queue (start before cruise buses) and to get back to cruise with spare time, the meeting time will be ASAP! Please be prepared to step from cruise at your earliest convenience before even docking.

Will you wait us ?

If there will be any delay in disembarking, we will be there waiting for you. But please try to be the first to leave the cruise.
We will be waiting for you 10 minutes after the first complaint of other travelers who showed up earlier. Then excursion will start.

Where to Meet

No need to take any shuttle bus, or any other actions !!! All you need to do is to : step down from cruise – pass the passport control and meet us searching for our logo file!
For other excursions, e.g., if the pick-up from your hotel, simply be at the reception on time.

During Excursion

Group VS Private

You will have to strictly follow the tour program and comply with GROUP conditions, you can’t change route neither ask for yourself special requests; If you don’t want to make a stop during traveling – others do! if you would like you can always have a private excursion where we will follow your instructions.

Timing Is Everything

You are required to be punctual and adhere to the time-lines of the excursion and of the service provided. We’re calculating time to have the maximum joy of trip, the optimal timing for group and spare time for emergencies. 15 participants will not wait for 2 only. If you are not punctual even after excursion, you may miss your cruise, your flight etc.

Please consider

Seating arrangement in Sharing Vehicle will be on first come – first served basis.

Changing itinerary during the tour is for your sake. lunch before/after excursion, means less crowded Siq.

You are responsible for looking after your own belongings. We are not liable for belongings that are lost, damaged, forgotten or stolen whilst on excursion.

FAQ

Does the tour cost include taxes?

Yes.
All the mentioned rates are in US Dollars and including; 10% services charge, 16% government tax.
Should these percentages either increase or Decrease, the mentioned Rates would be adjusted accordingly.

* Water or any soft/hard drinks
* Any private expenses

Can I cancel booked products? What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation under any circumstances is free, But Please inform us at your earliest convenience.
You have the privilege to cancel or change your booking without paying any fees, as soon as you are informing us at the earliest possibility.

Why you are asking for my passport details ?

This to prepare visa manifest & to obtain permits to enter port/airport. Manifest should hold all excursion information starting from full passport details ending with vehicle number. Otherwise you will be required to catch the public shuttle bus from the Port area to the town center. Unfortunately, we can’t afford 1 – 2 hours delay. hence, choice will be yours to join us or not.

How much time do we get inside Petra?

Usually 4 hours.
You would like to see as much as possible, we understand you & would like that too.
But in our practice, this will be depending on: 1- How much time the disembarking, docking, departure time we have. 2- How fast the group moves. 3- How crowded Petra will be.

Do you guarantee that we will make it back to the ship?

We are working with cruises since 2009. Up to now, we have 0 incident, Hope this will comfort you. In our policy: we would like to show you as much as possible in Petra, but 1 hour 30 minutes will be spared for emergencies.
Example: If ETA 20:00, you should be back no later than 18:30.
P.S. Each cruise has it’s own ETA & EDT.

How much walking is involved in Petra?

On our day tour to Petra, there are about 4 hours of walking on relatively leveled terrain.
Total walking distance: about 8 – 10 KM both ways.
There are plenty of spots to stop and rest along the way.

Only from visitors center to the Treasury is about 2 k.m. one way. It is a downhill walk to the Treasury which means that it is uphill all the way back.
